So my roomates and I were stoned one day and decided to make a closet growroom

here is our setup;

plants= 12 clones (I was told that half would die but they are all growing:?)

strain= OG Kush (clones for L.A. club)

area = 12 sqft

lighting = 6x 40w florecent gro lights with a combined lumen output of 10,200

ventalation= 1x 120mm fan blowing out the top into the attic, 1x intake/airflow fan on the closet door.

CO2 = water, sugar, and yeast muxtures (picture bellow)

Soil = Foxfarm seafood

watering: 125ml every 4 days

food: none yet

light cycle= 24hr on

I am a noob when it comes to growing so I look at this as a good learning experience, I kind of wish that I would have started with some bagseeds instead of dropping a couple hundred bucks on designer clones. But you might as well go big right :mrgreen:.

I don't know how old the clones were when I got them, but they were about 2 1/2 inches tall when I got them and am now on day 11.

Like I said I am a total noob when it comes to growing so I am open to all advice and suggestions, the grow has been going well so far ( i think :neutral:) the only concern I have is with the leaves of the plants showing what apears to be a fine specs of white dust. I don't think it is normal. the leaves are darker on the inside and most of the particles apear there. could this be mold? I will try to get my hands on a better camera and keep this updated.

thanks for reading and please send suggestions!!!

So I just found out that I can get a good deal on a 400w metal halide, should I switch or do you think the florecents will be enough?

Switch to Metal Halide, but make sure the ventilation is good and temp stays down, the plants will grow much faster. This way you can use your fluoros for seedlings and clones if you choose

Thanks for the advice. I got the 400w metal halide and I'm pretty sure I can use HPS on the same ballast. so I'm probebly gonna switch to HPS for flowering. I just gotta figure out how to wire the ballast for 120v instead of 240v. but I think I can take it into the neighborhood hydro store and they will do it.

Watered 170ml per plant today. and moved them a bit closer together because i noticed the ones the the ends were not as strong as the ones in the center.
