I'm soooo excieted to jion the ranks of croppers, with 9 new friends. . I've been reading up on my new project here for a couple weeks now and fell comfortable to start it up.
I germed some baggie seeds and the smoke wasn't bad so I'm hopeful it will be a good plant. They sprouted and then I put in soil. Started to push thru the top layer and got some green poppen now. Now they are all baggie seeds and I'm looken for like 4 to make the long trip thru the whole process. There will be pics this next week when they start looken better.

much love

Hey, everyone reading along with me. Thank you. Here are the pics.

OK, the first one is everyone, minus 1 that didn't break groound, so down to 8 now.:-( Also I have one that might not make it. In the middle of that shot is a liltle one, Root shock probly. SOOO really could be down to 7.

Moving on 2nd one is scale shot

3rd First/biggest one to sprout

Lastly, problem spots on tip, only one to show stress(except for that middle one in pic 1).

We are 1 week from breaking ground. I am still just giving water. My nutes will be Jack's Classic 15-30-15. The box is 4' tall, 2'x2' base and is going to end up my veg. space as I progress. Looking around for a tent and light combo sale(I AM looking thru the threads). Lights are a work in progress but right now it is 1 cfl 26watt/ 1200 lumens and some ramdom, 300watt, found in cabinet, it screws in, bulb. :hump:

Later ppl.

Ok so lets start with your lights 6500K cfls till you find what your going to use for flowering. high watts is best. NO!!! nutes till you get them around 1 month from the second node get a calender its helpful. Other then that just take a look around and get comfy this place is great.

Hey man, lookin good. I'm on my second grow now. My first turned out to be 7ft tall!!! When I started, I had 2 tube flourecents and they didn't get very big. Got just a small 150W HPS light and WOW, they took off! I would recommend upgrading your light. Have heard great success on this site with CFL grows, but my personal experience; the HPS is worth its weight in gold!! I have since upgraded. Got 1-250W over the top and the 150W on the side. Got 5 ladies. 2 Nirvana WW, 1 Lsd, and 2 papaya under approx 45,000 lumens and they Love It!! Keep me posted.

sorry forgot to mention 24hr light, this week I'm thinking of turning 18/6, and then at 4 wks I think I'll go 12/12. Don't have a good fan inside with the girlz but, I put another big one in front of the door. Most of the day it's on, when no one is home to notice.
The set up is under my stairs in basement and I'm not to sure what exhaust system will look like yet. But I do have access to the chimeny flu, so I know where it will go:eyesmoke:

The girlz got another set of leaves growen. So today I started with 1/4 nutes. I'm going to keep them in those small lil potters until close to 10-12" tall. I hope to keep up with the water needs, as they seem to dry out. May be to much perlite in soil (my mix). I'm thinking slow and steady increases like; 1/4, water,1/4,1/4,water,1/4, 1/2, water, water,1/2,water,ect.

Also I should keep a writen journal, one I can refer to as to when/what kind of watering took place and other notable mile stones. You know just incase I start getting antsy.

I am waiting however, to top and tie these girls down. Looken for 4 leave "nodes" I remember reading in here some where about topping it twice so 4 main branches form. Really would like to try that out, but need to find that thread again:cuss:
Can you say "needle in a hay stack"
Happy hunting!

I may have put to much perlite in my soil. The girlz are draining out way to fast. Watered yesterday, then this morning the soil looked so dry and felt light as a feather. I filled up a pot with water and put each plant in. Guess I'm going to replant sooner rather later:!:

In my experience, Its best to give the roots as much space as possible. Its my belief that more root room in the pots, the larger and stronger the stalk will get. Transplant em buddy. I burnt the shit out of mine when I first started out. Best to start nutes when they're older; at least 8-10inches before nutes. Otherwise, sounds like its going well.

My goal is to start flowering at 10-12 inches cuz the space currently, is limiting.
Don't have funds for the tent I'm looking at and the veg. box is all of 3.5' of useable space for ht.
Working with bad seed, so I don't know whether or not I got any fem. Can't wait to mature to tell because ht. will be out of control
And current "box" will not support 7 replanted into thier proper buckets
Maybe I should make my own mylar tent for now?
I don't know about mylar I was just consentrating on a simple tent set up and veg box
The flw light is good - 250w hps -

Gotta rethink some issues

You dont want soil retaining water fast drainage is what you need
Great job mate don’t let anyone fool you lumens the more the better even better having 5x60w cfl placed in good positions than one sodium. I use sodium and halide lithium and cfl. high power sodium high above casting its orange glow down then under canopy 450 watts and another 700 watts of cfl around the tops and let me tell you the plants love it they grow so quick and strong stalks 20m in diameter in 4 weeks obviously the metal halide for veg

Haha I always liked that saying...."Bob's your uncle". The original Bob must have been one bad mofo. Plus "Tom's your cousin" doesn't really have the same ring to it I guess. lol

here is the link to Uncle Bens topping technique...
Top once for 4 main branches.. its how I am going to top my mothers..

In short... you let them grow to about 5-6 real nodes.. don't count the sprout leaf node (cotyledons)..

then you top right above the second real node... that should create 4 main branches...

here is the link!

Indeed indeed! lol Yeah quid is British for 'buck', like a dollar. What's the slang for coinage over there again? Doesn't it have it's own nickname too? Oh and what's up with all the little old ladies having that Magenta color hair anyway? They love that shit over there. lol

Say hi to Judy Dench for me. I miss AbFab dammit! OK OK I'm done with my English stereotypes now. :dunce:
