First grow in a few years. 3 Nirvana WWs

Hello all. As the title states, I’ve been “out of the game” for a few. I thought I’d start a grow journal because I’m digging the way these girls are shaping up. Today is day 50 from seed.

Wanted to do some White Widow this run. Haven’t had any what I consider to be “really good white bud” for years. I’m in Colorado and even here, I’ve seen a decline in shop weed... Everyone is all into crazy made up hybrid strains with dumb names. All the bud seems like it’s been rushed. Don’t get me wrong, it’s all good stuff nowadays, but growers seem to loose their passion for putting out THE BEST product they can.

Anyway, this is also my first try at growing in Coco. A small learning curve that lead to what I think was salt build up slowed growth for about 5 days was easily fixed by flushing several gallons of ph’d and lightly nuted water fixed them right up. After that, and seeing that I was underwatering, growth all but exploded.

These 3 girls are in a 4x2 tent. I’m hand watering and using the full line of Canna nutrients. 3 gallon fabric pots. Watering with tap water. (250ppm from tap). Plants seem to love it in my opinion.

Recently switched from blurple lights to a much cooler running, more efficient and much better spectrum HLG 320xl QB (3000k). Again, this appears to have been a really good move. Temps in the tent dropped from about 79-80 deg f to 73-74. RH currently around 35-40%

My only worry is that I’ve waited too long to flip over to flower. I’ll be setting up the scrog tomorrow and cutting some clones. I’d like to get some auto flowers and clones going in a separate tent I just put up with a HLG 100 board (4000k) just chilling waiting to run... WW is supposed to stay pretty compact, but look at these bushes! I’m pretty happy with them so far...

Feel free to ask questions or comment. I’m always open to criticism as well. I’ll keep this updated often...

Thanks!

Little update- cut some clones.

The cuttings in the back row are from the smaller, rounder (strangely sativa like leaves). The ones in front are from my beast with lots of even tops.

Wanted a couple different phenos. The plan is to grow out the best 2 clones (1 of each pheno) and based on the finished product from both moms (moms just switched to flower) hermie one for seeds and smoke the other. Collect seeds from the one I like better...

Day 56 from seed-

It’s been just a couple days of 12/12. Hopefully this screen fills out a bit better.

I bought this “scrog-pro” setup on amazon because I was feeling lazy. I like the way it attaches to the tent but the “net” isn’t optimal. I can always cut it off next grow and attach a new screen. Overall a good product

Just wanted to update my grow. Things seem to be coming along.

I definitely vegged a little long for this tent with 3 plants in 3 gallon fabric pots. The screen was too full at start and the only option I could see was to let the plants stretch.

Anyway, there seems to be a good amount of tops getting light and the bloom nutrients along with the pk this week (week 3 of flower) seem to be making things pop.

I’d appreciate any opinions or comments...

End of 4 weeks today.

Getting frosty in here.

I realize it’s a bit sloppy and I feel a bit over crowded in this tent. Still, I know I’ll be pulling some top notch buds out of here. Can’t even stick my hand in without getting all sticky...

I have something cool lined up for this tent next go round...

Just wanted to update this. I added one of my old blurple viparspectra 400 back into the tent last week and angled both lights a bit toward the center. Figured, why not?!

Things are going well. Just a waiting game...

I watered them with a “mega” dose last night-1000 ppm (normally, right now at 875ppm) and will begin to taper down the food over the next 10 days or so before flushing for a week with just tap water. They get fed 1 time a day to 20%ish runoff.

Hey bro beautiful grow !!!! I’m a newb recently ordered a scrog pro as well. I’ve done a lot of reading on scrogging some rollitup members go by filling the screen 50/75 % and then flip to flower. So with your experience Using the scrog pro will you say 50/75 % is a good rule of thumb to go by ?

Thanks a lot!

I would say it’s strain dependent and also dependent on how you train. I like topping indicas several times to create a short, round, bushier plant. I think I went about 75% and I DEFINITELY filled out the screen. No room left...

Also, in the end if you’re “doing it right”, it becomes easy to fill the screen. I’d imagine even if you started at 50% full at flip, halfway through flower you should have that sucker FULL. It’s all in the training prior to flip IMO.

You can see what I mean in some of the earlier pictures in this thread.

The net squares are really pretty small as it comes. I plan to replace the net with a square wire type after this grow. The way the net comes makes it really hard to weave the plants through during stretch to keep an even canopy... I kinda just let it go after a while and it turned out ok but a bit sloppy in my opinion. That said, I love how it attaches and how easy it is to adjust.

I did grow this strain for the first time in years because I wanted some "white" bud...
I think I sort of regard white weed like some people love purple. I've always associated white with dank...

WHAT SAY YOU ALL???

Is this as white as I can expect? I look at these flowers as being done in 12-16 days.

NOTE- I did mess with these images just a little. I like getting stoned and messing with my camera.

All wrapped up and the next grow is already under way. Thought I'd post up some pictures and results... Just some random shots, mostly near the end of the grow.

Ended up chopping all 3 at the end of week 9. They all came out good!

The 2 more sativa leaning plants, cured, have a really fruity and "yogurty" type smell... Different, but definitely yummy. Smoke is really smooth and high is pretty racy but motivating.

The more indica plant, cured, has a VERY light lemony smell. Very fruity smooth smoke. The high is pretty heavy. Great before bed for some crazy dreams. Hard not to fall asleep.

Dry yield-240g.

A ton of larf (at least 3 oz.) that I threw in the trim bag. Going to make dry ice hash with it.

Couple more. Overall, happy. Not the best yield, but not bad. Not the best smoke, but damn good...
