okay so i just set up my grow in my closet with a 100 watt light.
i plan on vegetating it for a month with this light then moving it outside for the budding.

do you think this will work out?

Get the light as close as possible to prevent stretching! Also incandescents are terrible :( why not try some spiral CFLs? Investing in a cheap DIY CFL set up could really make that month of vegging worth your while, rather than just going with that one incandescent bulb. You could get your plant surrounded in a few CFLs to get great light penetration and it'll grow really dense. If you don't feel like bothering, then carry on..
Also, aside from the month of indoor veg do you have a specific timeline in mind for flowering?
Putting it outside in a month won't induce flowering, in fact it will keep vegging until the natural outdoor light cycle has met the proper conditions (e.g. shorter days ,warmer spectrum from the sun).

entirely what this guy said ^^ Grab a Y socket, buy 2 26 watter daylight spectrum = 6500 k Cfls from either walmart / home depot or a local garden store and lower the light, your plant will thank you.

Any cfl will do ya, the stronger the better and get it close to plant like 2 inches away. I veg with a warm white but cool white is better. I get the name brand cfls as they are better quality than the generic. 2 26 watt cfl in a y splitter with a large clamp reflector works from veg to flower.

Like Fwish and yesum said 26w CFLs are a good way to go. For vegging get the bulbs that say "Daylight" on them (the 6500k spectrum).
