First Grow Log. G13 bubblebuckets Dutch Master Gold V Technaflora

Hey everyone,

It is time for me to step out of lurking mode and step into contribution mode on these forums. Allow me to introduce myself. I'm a cardholding caregiver for 3 medical marijuana patients in the great state of MI. I've been growing for several years now, but by no means claim to be an expert. I started with the complete FoxFarms lineup (liquids and solubles) in flood and drain tables. Recently, dissatisfied with my yields, I converted to bubble buckets, ditched the FoxFarms and haven't looked back since. I've since been looking for a new nutrient lineup, which brings us to the current grow log.

One thing to get clear right off the bat: Like I said, I, in no way, claim to be an expert. Just a regular guy like y'all trying to grow the best meds for the most reasonable costs as possible for my patients. While I know haters' gonna hate, please try to keep feedback constructive. I know there are areas of my room/equipment/etc that can be upgraded, techniques that can be improved, what have you and its totally cool to point that out, just don't hate. Let's all learn from my mistakes. Also, this is a practical, not scientific endeavor. If the plants start showing deficiencies or other problems, I'm going to add additional products from any manufacturer as needed to correct the problem(s.) Cool?

Allright, so the grow equipment and details:
  • Clone King Cloner
  • Reverse Osmosis water only will be used throughout
  • I'll be running the Dutch Master (DM) Gold lineup on 1/2 the plants, Technaflora (TF) "Recipe for Success Kit" products on the other half. Complete Lineup:
  • I took six cuttings from an existing G13 mother on 4/14/2012, and placed them immediately into a clone king cloner with upgraded pump (Don't know the exact GPH, but definitely more powerful than the one that came with the cloner. Cloning and early vegging under CFL
  • Once rooted, best 4 will go into small DWC setup.
  • After firmly rooted, will be transplanted into 5 gallon bubble buckets with either expanded shale or hydroton as the growing medium.
  • Using beefy 200 Liter/min air pump split 16 ways (approx 12.5 lpm air to each bucket.) http://www.plantlightinghydroponics.com/ecoplus-air7-280-watt-commercial-air-pump-p-3665.html
  • 1000 Watt Metal Halide under Gull-wing reflector in the veg room (Shared with other plants not part of this trial...)
  • 3 - 4 Weeks in Veg
  • Move to 1000 watt HPS in CoolSun 6 air cooled reflector attached to 4" duct fan @ 170 CFM,
  • Exhausted through ozone filter.

I think that covers the basics. Let me know if you have any questions.

You dont need liquid light or saturator unless you foliar feed, but you do need silica and zone. I add bushmaster, koolbloom, molasses when I flip the lights
