Hey all...well today I get my clones and yesterday I picked up all my necessity's to start my veg closet. I will undoubtedly have lots of questions but for now two main ones.

1. After the transplant should I feed the ladies

2. This question is specifically for riddleme but if anyone has "made it rain" I had a question on it. So it goes water "flush" feed/water after approx two days...then another water...then feed etc..is this the right order.

I've amassed quite a bit of stuff for this little veg closet but seems like overall as much as I spent it seems well worth it.

So the actual dimensions of the room are 7' high x 4'.9'' long x 2' deep. I have also covered the the inside of the doors with the black/white plastic. The other walls/floor wasn't necessary due to those being white.

The only "advanced" technique I"m going to try is the "let it rain" (hence all the questions) but no LST or scroggin..possible top off but I have to read up on it more.

As for equip/Nutes here's a list with prices..please feel free to tell me either great score or if I payed too much

I also had a cheap thermal fan but you can buy one at wal mart for about 25 or so. Also two (possible 3) five gallon pails.

Also downloaded "I-herb" off of here..great little program IMHO.

So that's it for now..I've put in a few pics of the closet and one of the closet with the lights off..yes I know their is some light leak but for now there's not a lot I can do about it...I can't pin the plastic too tight b/c I need to work in their but it should be adequate

This is stolen from my grow journal (sorry for the repatition) but I was asked a few questions and I"ll put the answers in here.

Questions from the.smokerator
How do you plan on ventilating?

How many plants all together?

Are you mixing pot sizes?

Whats the strain your growing?

Have you pre planned the horror of possible pests...(Spider mites SUCK)

I put a black sheet on the outside of my closet to eliminate light leakage, just a tip. But it does kill a little bit of you stealthiness.

Keep it up bro your on your way!!

The.Smokerator as far as ventilating the doors on the closet slide open/close so what I'm hoping I can do is leave them open maybe an inch each side and let that be enough for ventilation. I have the heating fan as I said so I know I"ll need to get rid of the "bad air" somehow. Also this is just a veg closet when I have the money I plan on getting a tent along with more stuff for the "flowering room".

Their should be either 2 or 3 plants won't know till tonight

Not sure what mixing pot sizes is but I know I have to transplant tonight then probably again into larger pots later down the line.

The strain is DNA Genetics Lemon Skunk. Actually strike that..I don't know 100% of it's from DNA Genetics but I know the person I"m getting them from calls the strain lemon skunk and I've looked through loads of descriptions and this seems to be the one I smoke on a regular basis (fingers crossed for good genes)

Pests...Yes I have thought about it but all I can really do is just keep vigilant and treat as necessary if that happens.

OK so a few minor adjustments to the OP. These plants are not "lemon Skunk" but actually "Jack Flash" by Sensi seeds. I came to this conclusion after talking to the person that got the clones for me he said that are "super skunk" after doing a bit of research I noticed that this particular strain has a "lemon taste" to it...that's something that's missing from most of the skunk strains I read about, however I know that which I smoke has a very nice lemon taste..so for now..until they grow out more that's what I'm going on.

Also I brought both nutes back today and picked up one that would coincide with my soil.

Roots Organics Buddha Grow 17.07

The last little bit I did today was turn the heat off in the closet...too warm for my liking (around 85.0 F)although the relative humid is only about 39%

Now for the first of many questions...I received the two clones in rock wool. I'm 99% sure that this will be ok to put directly into pots however, these clones are usually grown in hydroponics soo??

OK so I just did the first watering. I of course have a question :) My water is PH 6.3-6.5 and I"m using roots organics soil...however when I had gotten the clones last night the person that clones them had used hydro nutes. So when I measured my runoff it was only about 5.5 What if anything should I do (raise the ph of the water perhaps) I"m not going to water the girls for another day will the pH being so low adversely effect them too much? Pics to come tonight of the girls also if you reply I"ll +1 rep you no problem.

I don't feed my purchased clones for the first two weeks. It adds to your veg time, but I think it's good to let them establish a nice little rootball first.

Gave a plus 1 rep but just to let you know this was zero nutes (on my part anyway) just pure 6.3-6.5 aqua

Day two has come and gone and not without bumps (should be expected at my level) but overall the girls look healthy and happy. Gave each one a flush today and ran into some PH issues (nothing that can't be overcome) Put the rockwool cubes into my roots organics mix and the lights should be going off in a little while here. Also cut some dead leaf ends off to help promote growth. Took some pics for you all and I've also come to some conclusions.

1. Make it rain: I'm sure I'm going to try to implement this method however I think it will take at least a few grows under my belt to be able to get it down pat.

2. LST, SCrog, Top Off: Originally I wasn't going to do any of these however after reading up on them and also from the advice from my grower a scrog setup wouldn't be too hard to maintian..just a question on it if anyone can answer...how exactly do I tie the plants down...I have some very small zip ties that I want to just bury in the soil. Also when should start this?

Last but not least a question of relative humidity. It seems as though that 35-40% is about as high as I'm going to get for right now...do any of you think this is too little

Sorry I've been so lazy with this journal but whatever...so today is day 8 I've had the plants now for over a week. Got a third clone yesterday..looks like a beauty good and strong. I've had some problems with one of the plants..for starters it's not growing nearly as big as the other one and also I noticed what is more than likely ph lockup in one of the leaves. I know allot of people don't recommend trimming leaves however I figured the plant is seemingly so tiny compared to my other girl that it needs help producing stronger up leaves and new growth. Anyway any questions feel free to ask, now on with the pics.

t0rn....I think I'm going to start a whole new thread as opposed to a journal..still have most of the pics so I should be able to cram a lot into a little bit of space. Just to answer your question same clone so same deal. Actually watering the girls then eating then racking it out for a bit. Might update later.

Thanks growalater..will do
