First Grow: Nute Sked Questions

hey rollers,

i've been lurking long enough to gain just a little bit of knowledge, which as we all know is dangerous!

anyway, i'm excited about my first grow and want to make it a success...

here's what i've done to date:

got my hands on a dwc rig for $130 on ebay... the system is no frills, but a workable solution: 150W HPS light, bubbler, pump, rocks, wool, etc.

set-up attic crawl-space for grow area...

ordered and received seeds from attitude...

ordered and received nutes from advanced...

first a few failures:

before i received my seeds and eager to get growing, i germed (paper towel / ziplock) some bag seed and out of five or six beans, one germed big time...

i transferred this to the dwc, misted often and kept the light just a few inches above the seedling... the result was a mushy - yet fried - seedling: two lessons learned: don't obsessively "mist," and don't put lights too close to seedlings...

after i received my seed order, my first attempt was to germ all five feminized buddha seeds white dwarf autoflowering, which was advertised as a simple strain perfect for beginners...

attempted to germ five seeds - following different advice i found online including "soaked towels," a 1/4" of water in the bottom of a tupperware container... also, weird weather resulted in some really wide temperature swings: all seeds turned to mush... $50+ down the drain...

attempted to germ remaining five seeds of feminized joint doctor ak47 / lowryder #2 (i went with the feminized automatic strains because i thought they'd be easier for a first small grow...)

this time i fell back on the good old moist paper towel, in ziploc bag, covered on top of stereo... all five seeds showed healthy taproots...

upon taproots reaching approx. 1/2" in length, all five seedlings were transferred - root down - into a rockwool slab and the whole slab was placed under a "misted" tupperware container (under the grow lights) for the next two days during which they grew an inch plus...

upon removal from the "humidity dome," the rockwool slab was cut up and each seedling in rockwool was placed in its own netbasket into the dwc...

i have been careful to keep the ph close to 5.8 or so (as per a/n)...

two nights ago, i very carefully added some nutes... this was very confusing as i saw all types of conflicting advice regarding nutes...

in this case, both advanced nutrients and advancednutrientsonline (who sold me their combo pack: micro, grow, bloom and bud blood, big bud and liquid carbo load) offered different feeding schedules and amounts...
the advanced nutrients suggested course of feeding is labeled on their products, while the advanced nutrients online program is available here: http://www.advancednutrientsonline.com/images/feedchartimages/advanced-mgb-comborecipe.gif

for this very first feeding, i referenced the package of the grow bottle and added the following:

Micro 15ml / 8 gal
Grow 15ml / 8 gal
Bloom 05ml / 8 gal

(This is exactly half the amount of nutes recommended by a/n - right on the bottle - for seedlings...)

so far everything looks great, i even lowered the lights a bit and the plants seem to dig it... and, oh yeah, i just started going 20/4 yesterday...

at this point i have two concerns:

1) what type of feeding schedule should i place these plants under? all of the schedules i see are for full-blown grows and not abbreviated automatic time-frames...

how can i adapt a longer schedule to fit a nine week grow?

2) and i'm probably getting ahead of myself with this one, but will a ten gallon bubbler be sufficient to support five full-grown ak47/lowryder plants? it never really occurred to me until i've seen how large (wide) this strain can grow...

any help / advice would be greatly appreciated...
