First Grow! SuperCloset 2.0 -slightly modified.

Ok so not quite my first grow, when I was in college a longggg time ago I grew a few Z's in a phototron but this is for sure my first real attempt.

Notes: Stealth was important for me so I was thinking of a cabinet or tent system. I was going to go Gorilla Tent but then a quick look on craigslist and I found the perfect cab at a great price. What I got was pretty much a Supercloset 2.0 kit but without the lower cloning room. It came with a 600watt full spectrum bulb, digital ballast, pumps, pots etc.. all included. It also came with a nice AquaEurope water chiller which made the deal that much sweeter.

Other details- I live in SoCal near the beach so I have great ambient temperature and relatively low humidity. Winter its 65/55 at ~60% usually. The closet will me in my garage which now as of today has excellent ventilation. Tomorrow Amazon will deliver me a reverse osmosis water filter which I've been wanting a while for my aquarium as well. Other good news, I have access to clones with my medical card so I think conditions are going to be great for growing.

Im hoping tomorrow to head out in the morning, get some clones and get started!

So here is question #1, the kit came with a nutrient recipe which seems pretty consistent with what I had seen researching earlier. After transplanting im planning a 3 day "transplanting stage" with SugarDaddy, Root 66 and a foliage spritz of Thrive Alive B-1 Green. The question, I've heard running the water 15 mins every 4 hours...but ive also heard as high as 8 hours. Anyone with this setup have a recommendation? I was planning 18/6 light cycle through veg, my other question was upping the wattage. The ballast goes from 400-600+ watt, when do you all bump up the power? Start at 400 correct?

I'll put some photos up as soon as there's plants in the cab!
Thanks for any feedback!

Well today was a bit of a disappointment. I installed my iSpring 6 stage reverse osmosis system today but seem to have a problem... My tap water is pH ~7.2 but my RO water is 8.2. I do not have the alkaline filter the 7 stage filter has, that would increase it even further so Im a little puzzled. Clones order on hold for a day or so.
