first grow, too early for harvest???

this was my first grow... this is def sativa, smells very potient, with a touch of citrus. i have heard that sativas tend to have longer flowering periods, but when i returned from vacation (8 weeks flowering) the cola was to heavy for her to support (kinda leaning) but smelled like dank. was it too early to harvest her??? can anyone help me out???

10 weeks flowering is about standard 4 sativa. next time use some stake 2 support the bud and wait it out. u wont b sorry.

it looks good to me anyway. prob could have gone abit longer but you'l still enjoy it im sure.

let us know what she smokes like.

really crappy lights, 4 energy saving (swirly bulbs, 2 x 150w, 2 x 100w), and 3 florescent grow lights from walmart (7500K, 40w ea). workin on a T5 setup for the next one. attempting a reveg for clones. shes my baby.

I have to be honest and say that's some really nice looking bud you grew using your light setup - I stand with Fyfe, that yes, it could have gone a little longer, but judging by your pics, calyxes look nice and fat and some smaller leaves have a nice frosting - good luck on the reveg!

thanks durban! i will maintain that it was all genetics (+ superthrive)! my boy just gave me some big daddy purple, blueberry, and afghani seeds... idk how well the reveg will work, but i'm ready for an indica this time.

Cool - I LOOOOVE the sativas (each to their own) but I might start up some mostly indica strains in the near future - You choosing indica for shortness/bushiness/space issues? I have a plan for an outdoor grow in the upcoming summer - I'll try something nice like Afghan or Forbidden Fruit - something that will grow <-out-> not up :)

space is def the issue, building a box (TV stand). should work vry nicely once the T5's are in. could have topped her, but didn't have the time. plus that was my first try! can't wait to see the garden next summer.
