When talking about harvesting ppl use different methods, IMO I use my loupe and check on those trichs. Get yourself a 30x magnifier or higher, they usually come as jewlers loupes. You use it to check the color of the trichs
Some ppl like to chop them down as soon as they see about 5-10% amber b/c even after harvest thc can continue to peak or degrade
Some wait till its about 50/50% cloudy amber to get a real medicated high.
