Hello,

I hope I’m posting this in the right place, please bare with me I’ve been using this site through my grow but this is my first time posting. So right now I am about in week 8 of veg. I am doing a photoperiod fruity pebbles OG, that I’ve topped, lollipopped and pruned over time. I FINALLY bit the bullet and upgraded my light set up from a set of T5’s in combo with a 150w LED, and realized about 2 weeks ago I needed them closer or better yet a new light. Ended up getting the Mars Hydro TS3000 and absolutely love it and is night and day compared to my old set up (not here to sell a product,) and I think subbing in the new light caused such an uptick in light, I noticed a preflowers or two growing near the main colas. I was going to introduce the more powerful light over a few days as read online to not shock the plant and flip to flower this week anyway, but guess it decided it was time. I have switched from 18/6 to 12/12, and two days later I’m seeing major growth stretching and new potential bud sites opening.
My question is seeing at the new light is being started at 75% dimmed to make sure it adjusts well (right now she seems thrilled,) but I worry about transitioning the nutrients at the same time and it being a lot of change at once. I am using general hydroponics liquid nutrients and have been using the same week 4 veg to feed and keep it growing healthy, and I know the nutrients recommend switching from less grow and evening out the grow, bloom, and micro all at 7.5ml per gallon to help transition the flower stretch. I am running a 5gallon bucket DWC. Should I just keep bumping the light up and switch the nuits to what GH recommends, or lower the nutrients as I transition it since it’s been on a consistent schedule for a while?

Sorry if I left out any info and again please hope I posted to the right place. And pointers or tips anyone can recommend would be greatly approached.
Thanks all :D

I think you asked in the wrong forum, you may have better luck in Hydroponics/aeroponics. I grow in potting mix, nor do I use GH, but to some degree nutes are nutes, the plants require about the same elements no matter the brand.

When the plants get put under 12-hours darkness, a change takes place in their nutritional requirements, they require slightly stronger nutrients (higher EC) and a higher nutrient and media pH. I would follow GH's hydroponics feeding schedule, including the use of KoolBloom.

You don’t have to switch nutes first two weeks of flower
Keeping them on veg nutrients helps reduce stretch
If you would like to have this moved to a different section
Just ask @sunni
