First scrog and first grow

How does it look? Just got net up but I got it up when it was already a pretty big height because net hadn’t arrived and just wondering if I should let 3/4 of it to fill before switching to flower? And also wondering if I should chop everything at the very bottom off that’s never gonna reach the top? Growing in a 3 1/2 by 2 1/2

You should have flipped before they hit the net. This is all strain/pheno dependent of course, but you're gonna find that this is gonna stretch faster than you think, and yeah, cut all the suckers, and things that are going to be larfy below the net. This will send more energy to the tops.

...also, dont chop everything (lollipop) everything at once.. do it a little at a time. At this point, you need to start cleaning up some undergrowth, and flip. You can larf, and trim out all the bullshit for the next couple of weeks after you flip.

Don't be me and put the net too close and fill it before flower stretch...I tried my first scrog and failed miserably. In the after pic here, you can just see the net at the bottom. I thought I was doing good Until the plants stretched nearly 3 feet through the screen.

In reality I could have filled the whole 2x4 with a single auto instead of failing to scrog two.

You should do 2 layers of netting, one layer to support the branches and a second layer to support the colas. Typically a 6" square net for the first layer and 3.5" netting for the second layer.
