Why do you say? I am tucking branches down under it to bring lower branches to more light... so it it doing something, is keeping my canopy at an equal height. If I take it out ill have no support for buds when they get bigger.

And honestly the screen went in later than I wanted to. But it is helping to pull down taller branches exposing more bud sites to direct light.
