First time grower! (Aus)

G’day everyone.

as the title says I’m a first time grower and I need some help or advice. I live in South Australia, Australia and its currently Summer. Quite warm temperatures are starting to creep up and I’m growing my first plant outdoors with no option to setup an indoor set up.

I’ve attatched current photos of my plant that’s about a month old from planting it as a seed. No idea on what strain it is I was just handed it as a seed.

Ive moved it into a larger pot (the current pot it’s in) and I’ve been watering it every second day and about 4 days ago gave it its first taste of some liquid concentrated seaweed and some blood and bone (organic plant booster) and will follow the guides on the labels unless otherwise directed by you guys! I just don’t know if my plant is heading in the right direction and if not, how can I get it heading there. I’m looking at how often to water, additives for my plant etc etc

I’ve also attatched a photo of the plant in a smaller pot to compare the size over about the last week.

cheers guys!

Ide ease back on the watering mate and she should come good.
Looks very lanky could be a male.
Push it out to maybe twice a week or something?
Also are there any benefits to having a male at all? I only have the one plant so pollinating other plants isn’t an issue, I obviously realise they don’t produce bud.

Maybe getting some more seeds, couple of pots and trying for a female is a better option?

Cheers for the reply mate!

Yeah a male will be useless to you. Not saying it is definitely a male just showing the early signs of it.
Yeah the more seeds the better mate!!

Is that due to a lot of the leaves being higher toward the top? Where as a female would be a lot shorter and bushier?

Yeah females tend to be more bushier and not so lanky like that, it looks hungry man, needs more nitrogen and other nutrients , perlite mixed into the soil is a great option to make it more airy and extra oxygen to the roots, I'd also drill heaps of holes around sides of the pot to also help with that ...then you stressless about over watering. Being how hot it was yesterday i would of gave her a decent drink because she does look thirsty also... Overwatered? Well my first tips would help with that , see how she or he goes and keep on learning

thanks for the reply mate. I’ll drill the holes in the pot tonight. I’ve given it some blood and bone which seems to give it some sort of nitrogen boost according to the label. I might go grab some fertiliser that is high in nitrogen and give it some of that and water it in.

I’ll also grab some perlite, is that something i can mix in while the weed is already planted? Just mix it into the soil?

After the hot day yesterday I did give her a good soaking. I might stretch out the days I give her a drink to every 3-4 days.

thoughts?
