cool. thats what i did. well my plant tips are turning red and i looked in a book and it says that is "k" deficiency. could this be it or is it nute burns, also they are starting to get brown spots on alot of the leave. i was going to flush tomorrow. any one have an idea of what it is.

could be potassium,.. could be heat, lots of different things cause that, but if they're red like the book says, probably potassium which might be happening because of pH. I noticed in all your pics the soil looks dry. If you're trying to avoid the beginner mistake and not over water, you might be underwatering. First of all don't sweat it,.. it's just your plant talking to you. They look really healthy in the pics so they probably aren't severely damaged. Check pH of not just your watering solution, but the runoff. You can put CFLs really close, but watch the heat. They do give off enought to burn the plants when they're only inches away.
If you haven't already flushed, I would water with a week nut solution that's high in K. Maybe half or quarter strength depending on your soil and how hot that was when you got it. If you haven't changed anything in your water/feeding schedule, then it's probably not nut burn because that would have shown up earlier. Realize that as your plants get larger, they need watering more frequently and can use up the nutes in the soil. You may not need to flush, but simply give them a good water with some K. If you've kept the same watering schedule all along, you might have really dry soil and need to water from the bottom up to make sure you don't have any dry pockets. Or you could water until you see a bit of runoff, then water again a couple hours later until you see the same.
If some leaves have started to curl upwards, then it's more likely a dryness issue. Hydrate them.

well i have not flush these plants yet. i transplanted then i watered with distiled water then with full nut. should i just water with full nutes and flush next time. it has been a while since i have watered them. i am going to water them tomorrow because the leaves are begining to droop. droop really bad. i use distilled water and i keep the ph around 6.0 to 6.5. what do you mean water from the bottom. what do you think i should do.
anyone have any suggestions

so i gave them a really good flush a while back and they picked right up. they look really heathy i think. well i will let yall decide and let me know what you think. by the way, i had to tie them down more cause the day after i watered them, it seem like they grew almost 3 in. i might just be me.

thanks man, i have a ant infest on one of them, they look like sugar ants but they just bother me. i need to find some way to get rid of them

Home Defense at Home Depot is the best. Made from Chrisantimum flowers and won't poison you when you smoke your grow. ou can use it inside and out. Some also use insecticidal soap (smothers the little bastards).

i think i have some of that. my girlfriend and i needed some cause are apartment got infested with ants ( because SHE left a half eaten candy bar on the floor...Woman and there chocolate). so do i spray the soil or the just around the plant. i saw them in the water catcher under my plants.

It's safe to spray it everywhere. I'd hit everything. If you see a stray ant walking around, hit it too! Don't want them looking around for something to eat after you kick them out of their penthouse suite.

All guys and girls. i know its been awhile since i have shown yall my progress. i have not flowed yet because of lack of money and i dont have a carbon filter but i have a question. should i continue to lst my plants and do i still do it when i switch to flowering? check out my room, finally got my 400w light system after a 3 month fight with the company.
by the way, can anyone estimate how much i will harvest based of the pictures?

Nice little forest you got there! LST is all about light height and exposing as many budsites to the light as possible. I LST all through vegging but leave them alone during flower. They will at least double and maybe triple in height in the first 4 weeks of flower so figure that in. No way to estimate yield until the last couple of weeks of flower and then they still fool you sometimes. I good heathy grow usually gets between 2-3 oz on average per plant but with this being your first I would lower that expectation but being on RIU is a big help! We'll help all we can!

Looks very good. I am doing my first LST DWC grow.
Strain is medusa.
It looks a little hacked up because the CFL I had on it before fell over while I was at work. so I had some dead side-shoots to remove, but the plant is self is doing well. Round and round it goes.
