First time LST Need Advice

So i did some reasearch and lst looked like what i needed to do since i have such a small grow area 1x3x3.

I've never done it before so i dont know if what i've done will work but it seems like it.

I tied the main stem down first, 1st pic.

then i took the secondary shoots(don't know if thats what they are called but thats what i'm calling them lol) crossed them across the middle of the plant so that the right shoot was actually pointing left and the left shoot was pointing right. Its sorta hard to explain what i'm talking about but hopefully you can tell in the 2nd and 3rd pic.

with the all the tying i did it looks to have saved me about 3-4 inches and put majority of the budsites ontop of the canopy(pic 4)

Think it should be ok to do it this way? or is there a better method to tying down?

this makes me sad
If you have no advice this isn't the thread for you...If i knew how to do it correctly i wouldn't be posting asking if i was now would i?

So rather that posting a useless comment such as "this makes me sad" you could try to explain what i did right, if anything, what i did wrong and what i can do the next time to make it better.

thanks
