Fizzy water as a source of carbon?

Hey i was thinking would it be possible to use fizzy water ( as it lets off carbon) as a good source of co2 for the plants, you could either leave the bottle open in the cage or just spray the fizzy water on the plants?
would this work, any thought would be appreciated.

No, the amount of co2 is not enough to make a difference, you could breathe in the grow room an do about as much good. The plant does not use carbon but co2. Spraying on the plants would probably attract unwanted insects to the grow site to feed on the sticky mess on the plants. You can find co2 receipes with yeast and sugar on the internet or buy a co2 tank and regulator for the grow room if you want to use co2.
