Flir

you shouldn't be worried unless they have probable cause to scan your house with it the courts would throw it out or they are suppose to thats illegal to scan houses without a warrant same with dogs if they don't have probable cause any scent a dog picks up if they come to your house and walk around it would get thrown out as well but with seeing some of the major privacy laws being broken and other things going on at fed level who knows anymore

I don't know about other countries, but you need a warrant to even use flir in an admissible way in the US. So I'm not worried. If they could get a warrant to point IR goggles at my house, then I gave them enough probable cause that they're going to bust me anyway.

does this count for cops in really small southern towns who probably didnt pay attention in class? including the judge?

What do you mean?
One guy had a fan in his house that started a fire. Grow was discovered when the fire department was putting the fire out. Another guy had a fire in his barn, even the bees he kept to keep people away didn't deter the fire department from finding his grow.

You guys..... LOL you are always confusing things LOL They ONLY need to worry about the rules of civil or criminal procedure if they want to use it as evidence. It doesn't make them not use the device. I mean seriously there is no hole on a FLIR camera wherein you load the signed search warrant and it only turns on then LOL

They only need to take another dated/timed scan AFTER the search warrant is issued for admissibility in court ::snicker::

I was just going to rep you for this! But it wouldn't let me again ;( so instead I'll have to tell you how delightful it was to realize what a wonderful Bee keeping essential a Scott pak and turn out gear could be!! Thank you. I love finding secondary uses for things LOL

You can rent FLIR from home depot. I'm with curious2garden on this one. Just because they don't have a warrant doesn't mean they don't use it.. now they have drones in the skies too. The cops want your house, money and cars, so they can buy new toys and they get bonuses on big bust..

I wish there was more information out there, police have admitted to using google earth for spotting grows. Police do as they wish, why would they not use FLIR? I mean all they have to do is spot a grow house, then drive by it and say they smelled pot, then do a knock and talk. Then come back with a dog, and you are done. I would like to say, that police don't care about busting grow houses, but that would be a lie. Even in Colorado I still watch news videos of police busting people for anything they can in grow houses. Oh he had one to many plants, while pointing at a dead clone, then seizing your house, your cars and bank accounts. If anyone believes the cops don't care, sorry but your are one sick individual. I try to do my best to be a great citizen, I do charity work and conduct business in a proper fair manner. I am not a criminal!

Oh I dunno. My guess is that most of the states that are currently instituting MMJ will be interested in it soon. Most states have granted monopoly licenses to officially sanctioned grow ops. I think it stands to reason that most of those were granted with the help of large bags of cash. When these legal growers come online, it seems quite likely that the hammer will come down to some extent.

Der weiss Engel: Is it safe?

Babe: No. It's pretty dangerous. Be careful.
