Flowering mother

Can you take clones from a plant that is about to be harvested? Or do you need to put the plant back into veg first? I haven't grown anything, I'm just learning at the moment.

TIA

Well in theory you can but a budding clone takes forever to root then it needs to snap out of budding and it turns into a funky plant with 30 tops. This process takes a long time to get it to a nice mother or a plant you want to flower..

I’d suggest leaving a few buds on the plant and reveging for a month or so then cutting clones or find a new clone or seed and start over… I guess what I’m saying is that it can be done but its time consuming… Not so worth it in my opinion! Clones and seeds are all over the place…

you can technically take a cutting from a flowering plant.

Although it will take longer till its ready to be transplanted. It is not recommended to take cuttings from flowering plants, this is due to the fact that you have to force the plant to start green leafy growth. Up until this point its been putting all its efforts into producing bud, and those hormones are hard to counter act. It's possible and i've seen people do it but might take a lot longer than usual. Hope this helps.

peace and positive energy to you

I would take the clones from the less developed bud sites, leaving the main cola(s) to flower, for a smokable harvest!
