Flowering with CFLs?

Hey,

I've got a few plants that are in week 5 of veg and are about 10 inches tall with lots of leaves.
Am I ready to switch the light to 12/12 to induce flowering?

Also, do I need to use all 2700k CFLs for flowering or can I just mix them in among my 5000k CFLs I used during veg. Oh yeah, and do the 2700k give off more heat than the 5000k? Less?

Go ahead and flower. In my personal expierence, the 2700K put out less heat. You will be happier with your end result if you use at least 70% 2700K for flower... and the other 30% or so your 5000K. I use ONLY 2700K though for flower. It will give you more dense, tighter buds. Which in turn means better yield.
