Count from the time you see your first bud sites appear.
It usually takes a week or two after the switch.
Time frames for any strain are only averages and harvest times can only be determined by the color of the trichomes, In my Opinion.
Hope this helps.

I start counting when I flip. It's usually fairly accurate for me but as the post above me says don't rely on it. Always check trichomes to determine harvest.

I try not to count at all. Since I'm not running any sort of perpetual harvest system, and I'm only growing to keep myself in sticky green, I feel like paying too much attention to the dates makes me feel like a little kid counting down until Christmas. I'm sure people will disagree with me, obviously knowing how things are progressing has its advantages, but I can't stand counting the weeks. I plant it, when it reaches maturity I switch it, and when the trichomes say it's time to go, I cut it down. If you intend to be a professional, totally disregard this.

Everyone is different. I start when I see the plants sex, but I grow in 12/12 so no flip for me.

Sometimes I might move back the time by a week if the plant is not where I feel it should be. (I deal in weeks not days).

The plants will be done when they are done be it 8 weeks or 13 weeks.

The only reason I count weeks is to make sure the plants is where it should be in the growthprocess, if it’s not I adjust my times line to where I feel it is. So if it’s week 3 and the buds are just starting, I will just make next week 3 again till the timeline and the plant growth match.
