i went to home depot and bought a fluorex light 65w. ..just the light..... didnt know that it was a replacement bulb for the ficture it goes in which contains the ballast for it.. . Lights OF America 9266 65W Fluorex Floodlight Light

it has a medium base (normal size) its not mogul size (large i think) so it fits in a normal size socket but it just dont turn on .. is there a way to get it to turn on without getting a ballast for it?? if i can buy some cheap ballast?? or if i have to go out and buy the dang whole thing like on the site i posted..

i want this thing to work but i dont know how to get it to can someone help me

u need a ballast to run that bulb no matter what. Other CFL bulbs have built in ballast. I purchased the same one one but was too lazy to buy a light and take it apart, so i returned it and got a 100 watt cfl with built in ballast.
