Hi there,

I want to smoke my plant without any chemicals. Do you guys know if it's ok to start flushing them 1 month before? What is the best way to do it?

Personally, I've fed up to last day and never see any difference. A study was done on this. Interesting read. Today I feed till the last few waterings. I'm not flushing I'm just saving nutrients. The plant is done at that point so why waste food on it.

Flushing doesn't work by actually flushing nutrients out of the soil all that much it is more your dropping the soil temps till you reach a point some nutes are locked out your just speeding up the fade think what happens in nature in autumn
Stop guys, talk about the topic or leave it. We get your point, but new growers will always have questions. Be civil.
Yeah He sended the same study over bro - already AI'ed it.

Flushing with plain water do the exact opposite to flushing "chemicals" out. It keeps them in the plants tissue and beats the whole purpose.

It's better to dial down nutrient strength than to flush heavily with plain water growing in any medium. To optimally lower EC in the medium you need something that binds to the same minerals in the medium and water by itself is not very good at that. Same mineral ratio with a low strength feeding solution extract the same ratio and if it's not there(plain water) you will only worsen the ratio in the medium.

Hope that gives some clarification and help.

Cheers!

Can't believe my post got deleted. Every flushing post has the same comments and aren't deleted but for some reason mine was. Interesting.

I just don't want to get some black chunky ash man
That happens when your stuff isn't properly dried and cured.
With that being said tho I think it's still reasonable to only give 'em water for the last feeding.

A.) it won't harm your plants if you kept feeding 'em well.
B.) what's all the nutes gonna do if you cut your plants a few days later anyways.

my 2 cents :bigjoint:

The mods have taken censorship to a new level as of late.
I got scuttled for a month for making a comment to a spammer.
I warned you July 24th because you wished someone dead. The TOS is very simple no more drama, no more cruelty. Cruelty is one of the many negative qualities of the person you wished death upon. So it's sad to see you deploy it as a form of entertainment.

Please stop challenging the moderators because we are deleting drama in the grows. If you don't want to have posts deleted then don't be mean. It's pretty simple.

Then report those posts and we'll delete them too. We aren't perfect. We don't catch every bit of drama. We rely on the community to help keep the community kind.

Finally Merry Christmas, or Happy Holidaze to all who celebrate this time of year no matter what you celebrate. Let's be kinder to each other. Thanks.
