I need to flush my hydroponic system. I have a small reservoir that holds about 3 gallons of water. What I've been doing is just draining the water through the top feed system. then adding fresh distilled water and draining it so the system gets somewhat clean. This time when I flush I want to make sure everything is done right, so I was wondering if someone can give me a quick how to, on the best way to flush. I've read that some people use h2o2 to clean it out but i'm not sure exactly what to use. the lid to my reservoir holds the plants so if I take it off the roots will be exposed and I don't know where I would put the lid while I clean the reservoir. Any suggestions?
