Check your ppms. I find that the strain I grow pretty much stops taking nutes in the last 3 weeks anyway. All I'm adding is plain water at that point. So you might not have to go on deliberate flush.
If you're talking about reducing harshness...yes, you want to do a good trim job, as slow a dry as possible and a slow, 6-week cure. My process is so low and slow that my trim is less harsh to smoke than any street weed I've ever had. By the time I'm done I've added about 2 months to the seed-to-smoke timeline (10-14 days for the dry, 6 weeks for the cure), but I have the most beautiful smoke I've ever had access to.
EDIT: just reread your original post -- that bottle of fabricated flush won't make as much of a difference as the slow dry/cure.
