Flushing plant

Is flushing your plant really needed. My plant is around 40 days old and was wondering if i should fulsh her out? How often should someone flush there plant and how much water should i flush through a 5 gallon pot?

usually you would flush your plant the last week of blooming to improve taste and rippen the buds

Flushing is used to get rid of a nutrient problem. Its much easier, if you think your plants might not be getting what they need, to simply 'flush' out whats there and start over than it is to try and add some of this and some of that. Hydro growers accomplish the same thing when they change the water in thier resevoirs. If your using good nutreient, good water it shouldn't be necessary. As Thomas said, a week before harvest will help to use up the nutrient stored in the plant so it doen't taste like fertilizer. VV

i had to do a water plush on one of mine from spilling straight nutes in it. i flushed with about a quart of water and loosened the dirt up real good before i flushed water through. I also changed pots and added half new dry soil so i would help pull nutes out of old soil...

flushing helps remove plant waste, it helps to promote health root formation, flushing with NON ph'ed water will cause severe lockup!
