Flying with medicine

I know a couple people who have taken a few ounces with them in their carry on in jars, when the TSA saw it they call over local police who verify you are a legitimate patient, and let you go, with your bud.

In this state you're allowed to possess 24 ounces of bud as a patient. I wonder if you flew to another medical state on the east coast, do you think the cops from your departing city would report you to cops in your destination city?

It would be hella nice to bring a pound of chronic with me when I go back east to visit family. Anyone have experience with flying with herbs as a medical patient?

not that I'm medical but i'm curious. sounds like it could go either way, most likely the shitty way though.

There was an NPR segment where they were talking about how they haven't arrested a single medical patient for herb at the airport, but that they do verify you're a legitimate patient.

So the WA law says you can carry 1.5 lbs legally with a card, and it looks like they only verify you're a patient and not where your destination is....but...lol Might start with a quarter lb first and work up from there. But damn I'd be visiting family all the time. Hell even bring 15 clones haha bring a little dome as your carry-on...

I just returned returned from a trip east and I flew with mmj. Just be prepared to deal with the consequences. It's a risk and has fallout/blowback if it goes bad. A pound? I would re think that. I brought a brand new tiny chillum and small stash container in my carry-on, both clean. I had a compressed gram tied in the end of a condom that was cut off. My bud was a miniscule package in my pocket. So-I flew with it but still had options. If I freaked I could palm it or crunch it and swallow it. Never had a sideways glance. Walked right thru xray with it. No scanners where I'm at. And when my travels were done I left the pipe, bud and stash with friends I was visiting. I'm mmj legal from the state I flew from. Didn't want hassles on the return flight. A pound could be distribution. What's the legal limit in your state? I see it as exercising civil disobedience because the laws are gray and you're pushing the envelope flying with it. Be smart, accept the risks, best of luck. Please post updates. Since my flight I've spoken with two personal friends who regularly fly and take it with them. They are not mmj legal. They just hide it in their carry on and have for years. Never been hassled.

Even being a legal patient, I could carry 15 oz, but I doubt I would ever take the risk, because if your going to a non medical state or one that has limits that are less then your state you could get into trouble, hell you could get into trouble just crossing states federally, You can test the limits if you go to prison, I guess bad idea?
