You can hardly go wrong. Have you also checked their Happy Frog?I plan on using ocean forest, what does everyone think?

$15 for 15 gal bag (56.8 liters) over here, from Hydro store.Great soil right out of the bag.
Easy to use.
Quite expensive and not optimal.
I've never had any issues with ffof either. I pop beans in it all the time with no issues ever! Just dont over-water it. When it comes to organic soil, you could build double the amount, at a stronger more forgiving mix that can be made specific for strains in veg or flower at the same price as ocean forest. Just gotta time the cooking right.$15 for 15 gal bag (56.8 liters) over here, from Hydro store.
I mixed FFOF w/ 20% perlite, and didn't get nute burn on clones. This round, mixed less perlite w/ Happy Frog (supposed to be less hot) and got some burn on OGK. BTOG and JCOG look good. Might just be the strain.
It all depends on where you're growing, indoors, or outdoors. I like Ocean Forest for outdoor growing but I find Happy Frog better for indoor growing. Ocean Forest is too hot for indoors, unless you cut it with something neutral, like Roots Organic. It was meant for outdoors, that's why it has such high nitrogen levels, to last through out the entire grow season. I found flushing all of that extra N out before harvest to be a losing battle and mixing Ocean Forest properly with Roots Organic is more work than it sounds like. So I switched to Happy Frog, no need to mix anything, and the plants have exhausted all of the nutes by harvest.I plan on using ocean forest, what does everyone think?

Lol like what kind of bugs??I like fox farms ocean forest, some of the best results with that soil. I would like to caution that a lot of the times they come with critters that jump aboard for the ride. I am going to start using hydrogen peroxide (h202) to kill anything living in the soil and then add all the microbial life back after sterilization takes place.
Never wanna deal with bugs in the room, it just ain't fun.
Not the ones that make you itch your crotch or anything, the kind that crawl around in the dirt and eat your roots. Then turn into flying egg layers from satan. It all depends on where you are and how long the soil was sitting there but where I live there are swarms of those fucking aphids coming down the street every day.Lol like what kind of bugs??
