what does the phrase free leonard mean? ive herd some things like he was one of original LSD makers in SF back in the 60's but i think this is false if anyone knows the meaning i would like 2 noe because banners saying that have ben popping up all over where i live

They're talking about Leonard Poltier.

Leonard Peltier is an imprisoned Native American considered by Amnesty International to be a political prisoner who should be immediately released.

Leonard Peltier was convicted for the deaths of two FBI agents who died during a 1975 shoot-out on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation. Mr. Peltier has been in prison for over 29 years.

You prolly live in an area with a high volume of Native Americans.
