Freebies from Attitude - Are they lower quality beans????? IMO - YES!!!

5 months ago I made a couple of purchases at attitude seed bank. I ended up getting 20 freebie UFO seeds on top of the seeds I purchased. Every seed I purchased was what I ordered and I couldn't be happier with my purchases. My purchased strains all germinated and turned out beautifull!!!! Now back to these 20 freebies that I popped. out of these 20 beans 19 beans germinated. I had recieved bubba kush, coletrain, rocklock, sour cream - all female seeds. Well the 2 of rock lock were males and the rest grew like gaaaaabage! All the bubba kush turned hermie on me!(So pissed about that one it was looking so good before that. All of them were 6 1/2 feet tall bushy as Fudge with huge nugs everywhere, cut them 4 weeks premature. I could tell that the final product would have been great. All the coletrains turned out great.


So I'm wondering are all the free seeds they offer not the same standards as the ones you have to pay for. The other strains I purchased were grapegod, og kush, romulan, cheese, and Jack Herrer which all came out great. I don't think I will use any more freebies..... I don't think that they are stable enough to sell so I think they just give them away.......how can you complain if it was given to you for free????

I think in most cases they are old stock.

Does old stock affect Quality???? If the genetics are good shouldn't they still be good regardless of age?..........Not trying to be a smartass or anything I would just like to know.

I would also like to add that this in no way will affect my decision on placing another order with Attitude seed bank........The seeds I purchased were exactly what I ordered!!! Great, fast, stealth shipping!!!!

I imagine seeds can get banged up quite a bit when you are talking wholesale quantity. Picture this. Attitude buys 2500 GHS Bubba Kush seeds. Well a guy has a GHS hermie and goes on RIU and says "I have tried all GHS strains and all they do is hermie so they suck and you guys should think so to!!" and so as RIU sheep most will talk shit about GHS so Attitude now is stuck with say 2200 BK seeds. So once a year they do the organizing and rearranging and throw the seeds that arent getting picked as often in the back and bla bla bla... In 2-3 years of that how good do you think those BK seeds are? Fuck it we'll give em away.

wow thats a lot of freebies. as long as it germinated imo the tude has nothing to do with it...since the only thing old seeds are being affected is the germination rate...right? or am i wrong? correct me if im wrong but how would it affect the genetics of the seeds even if it was banged up, the only thing i am informed is seeds getting old are less likely to germinate.

Honestly I dont know what kind of effect time has on seeds. I know for a fact that my buddy germed some bag seeds from 3+ years ago and 12/27 germed and exactly half were female but seeds dont last much longer than a few months here. As far as Im concerned if I order from a bank and they send me 100 free seeds, if I harvest 1 plant out of them then that bank hooked me up. They dont have to give you shit. I personally have gotten 14 free seeds from Attitude and out of those I harvested 5 plants. So do I bitch that I didnt harvest 14 plants or do I say hey good looking out on the 10 or so free ounces of dope? I say good looking out.

well if my free seeds didnt all germied on me i wouldnt dare bitch about it...and thankful enough that i got a free seeds, but when the seeds that i personally chose did not germinate and all my free germied i woulda be really pissed-off...like what just happened to me on my last order the freebies did germinate, and i ordered 5 querkle that did nothing on me. i germied them all at the same time and same procedure and everything the same...its not attitudes fault i know..but i go run on them and cry.

I have germed 15+ attitude freebies... Only recently did I have problems. 100% germ rate/healthy plant until Dinfem Sweet Deep Grapefruit. Cracked put did not poke a root. Not my fault since I have germed 100+ purchased beans and have had 100% germ rate (mandala,,high grade seeds,g13 labs,dna)

Thanks to everyone who contributed to my thread. I learned alot from what everyone posted. This is my first grow and I'm extremely satisfied with how it turned out. I just wanted to put it out there that their could be a chance that the free bean attitude offers might not be up to par as the ones you have to purchase. This has in NO way affected me in placing my next order with Attitude. Again thanks everyone for posting your comments!!!

I recieved Dinafem's Diesel, Blue Widow, and White Widow. All germed. Harvested the Blue Widow and White Widow. they were funky strains, but quality nonetheless. The Blue Widow was actually my highest yielder from that grow.

i cut down the Diesel because i fucking slept through my alarm like four times, so it wouldve been 100% hermie.

I am curious about something. How would you having overslept cause your plant to hermie? Do you manually switch your light(s) on and off rather than use a timer and oversleeping caused you to not turn your light(s) off or do you grow in a small space with a door you leave open when your light(s) are on and you did not wake up in time to close it after your light(s) turned off so your plant received too much light? I am just curious as to what the correlation is between oversleeping and hermies.

that happened four days in a row due to overexhaustion.

slightly different though. it was an interruption in the dark cycle. id go to bed and leave the door open for ventilation, then wake up before light hits and close it. overslept and never closed the door 4 times.

i had two sets of plants, one in veg, one in flower, so i had to use an extra room and it just didnt work out
