Not sure what that flying insect is, but looks like you might have thrips based on the irregular white spots on your leaves.

Thanks I thought so too but haven’t been able to find any in my loupe, I’m all in organic but decided to pick up some spinosad, they say it’s organic but to me nothing from a bottle is really organic but tonight I’m digging deep with a flashlight just in case. And I’ll spray them if I have to.

If you don’t already do this, I suggest dusting your soil/mulch with diatomaceous earth. Thrips spend part of their lives in the soil, and the DE will help get them as they come and go.

Thanks again. I watch my girls like a freak so not much happens I don’t know about. I bought some sticky strips to put out as my buds are starting to get dense and I didn’t want to dig anymore than I had to. I’m thinking the strips might be another way to keep track but since thrip are so tiny do you think I’d be able to see them if they get stuck? I didn’t buy these specifically for thrips but I don’t want no stinkin bugs unless they get a pass from me first lol.

Well crap. Looks like I owe you a Coke SpicySativa. I’ve been out there every night for a week looking for thrips and found none. After I typed that last message I went out there and what do you think I found under the first leaf? A stinkin thrip!! Glad I bought that spray now haha.

I’ve been out there an hour looking through my loupe and found 6 thrips and on only one plant out of 6 strains. The only plant I’ve really had any trouble from is the one bagseed plant. I had sprayed spinosad a couple hours earlier and half those 6 were already dead or dying. Glad you said that it made me dig deeper. Since they started getting thicker buds I try to loupe every budsite, every branch, and I at least look at all the leaves, loupe where I see anything strange. So far it’s paid off but this is my first real outdoor crop so we’ll see.
