Friend with roomate on house arrest

I have a friend (homeowner) who has a roomate that is going on house arrest for his second DWI. The roomate's probation/parole, whatever, officer is coming over to take a look around the house. The person who owns the house, who is not on house arrest, has 1 plant going in his bedroom closet. When the cop comes over to look around the house, how far can he go. Clearly, he will search the dude's room that is on house arrest and we imagine that he will take a look around common areas, but can the cop go in to the other guys bedroom? Is the search limited to the guy on house arrest's bedroom and common areas or is the whole house subject to search? Anyone know?

put a lock on the growers door and the PO cannot check there without a warrent. be careful when you are flowering, never know when a slight smell outside his door might give away his hobby grow.

I appreciate the response but wont a locked bedroom door seem shady in inself? Wouldnt the cop just ask himself, "why does this door need to be locked"? Maybe im just overthinking it.

If he asks that, ask him if he has some "Off's to go fuck".

Knowing a cop may be entering a house or an apartment and keeping a plant going doesn't seem like a good idea.

I wish I could take credit for that, but it's Ricky from Trailer Park Boys. That show is so beautifully written.
