From Floro to HID

I have some seedlings that have been under floros 24/7...they are 2 weeks old...Going to move them to an aeorflo unit in a room that has only 1000 watt hps x2..I want to veg for 1 week in that room...will the switch to HPS lights hurt them....?...Should I keep lights far away?..2-3 feet?....I plan on 18/6 for 1 week then 12/12....thx

Keep the distance far since they are still young.

Don't bother turning on both the 1000 watters lol. Thats just overkill for such young plants.
