Fungus gnats

i had fungus gnat problems with my last grow.
i have heard that mircale grow soil may be the cause
i have alott left and thought i would mix 3-1 soil to perlite
then let it dry out complety in a cement mixing tray for a week
will the fungus gnat eggs die in dry conditions.
anyone 2-3 cents

I wouldn't let the soil dry out if your growing in it at the time. It will stress the plant. You can buy the Misquito dunks or diatenacous earth and you will be fine.

I've also used cinnamon before and it works. Yep plain old cinnamon. Just sprinkle it on top. The problem I have is, I use air pots, The sides of the pots are exposed so those fuckers would just fly into the sides of the pots.

you'll get fungus nats with any soil that has compost material in it. No way around it

I don't think it being MG has anything to do with it. I've grown several grows using MG Organic Choice and never had a fungus gnat. On the other hand, I've done 2-3 grows with Fox Farms Happy Frog and got fungus gnats. You just gotta be prepared and get rid of them.
