Retail sales of marijuana in Canada will remain slow, BMO Securities analyst tc said in a note released Monday. The scarcity of retail stores in the country probably put a lid on fiscal fourth-quarter revenue

A pot producer will announce results for the quarter ended in March on June 20.

They want more stores because the initial stocking order is the best they get.
New store ='s sales to get it up to speed stock wise.
Then it's all downhill from there.
At least filling the new store will make it look like sales are brisk. That's my take.
I bet the stores already open aren't ordering much. It just looks like lots cause it come in tiny little jars in boxes...etc..etc..etc

It was cool to walk in a store and buy the green. Until after doing it a couple times and realizing 75% of it is mids at best, the novelty kinda wore off. Especially at $50/ eighth. BM is in no trouble as it stands. Quality ^^ price _ and then maybe they'll actually meet a sales target.

I can go to a buddy, which I never do but I could, and choose between 14-20 different kinds of weed at any time. I can pick it up, smell it, look at it and buy it for anywhere from 80/oz. - 250/oz. depending on quality.

I dont know what stores are like in other places, but in NS you look at a list and pick from it. No looking, no smelling, just pick a plastic bottle wrapped in a box based on some vague description. The employees aren't even allowed to help with your decision, other than point you in the direction of an indica, sativa or hybrid.

Even at a low price point, with customer service and a system designed to dissuade use, this just adds to the negative experience most in the cannabis community are not interested in. Low quality, high price, and inconsistent availability of preferred products is just a nuisance people aren't going to pay 50/8th for. Corporatization of cannabis is a fail!!

They have stock to fill the existing and new stores. Same stock that is in the other stores and it doesn't sell.
And plenty of unsellable weed unsuitable to ship.
The LP's have stock to ship but nobody wants it. So it's not re-ordered.
But a fresh new store has zero inventory. So filling it with the same as the other stores looks like big sales back at the LP. It's all smoke and mirrors.
What they really mean is " we have no quality weed to sell, so sales are slow unless some new store opens". Then we can ship out some bunk to stock it.

As i said, the novelty. For someone whos been questioning "why the fuck is this shit illegal?" since i was 12, i had to see what it was all about. Which ended in disappointment lol.

Canada does need plenty more retail options which is why an open market would have worked better
Ma and pa and operations would have made this transition seamlessly
And would not have required the drastic use of poisons
the lp’s in their haste to corner the market managed only to shoot themselves in the foot due to greed
Looks good on them
