Ok I wanna plan out the stuff Ima need for my plant when it starts to grow witch should be a week if I'm correct. I'm using a 52 watt bulb now for it's night cycle an obviously know tht I should switch it to a cfl when the plant starts to sprout. From then how many times should I water it, do I need more than 1 cfl light, and do I need to add any chemicals to it? I really don't want to cause i want it to be real organic and also I'm growing it in a 16 oz cup right now, and I seen a lot of fully grown plants that looks real good grown from cups like this their whole plant life but, heard that it really isn't good.

for watering i usually just stick my finger into the soil like 2 inches and if its dry i water..and yes you need more than one cfl per plant. i would use between 3 and 6 per plant..you can look into organic nutrients to cover that..and for the cfls youre gonna want daylight for veg and soft white for flowering.

1 cfl bulb is good for now, just add more as the plant gets larger, then flower with a HPS light. And No you don't need to feed your plant chemicals, organic soil works great. You will need to transplant your seedling into a bigger pot once it starts to veg. Water when the soil starts to dry and turn light brown. Did I miss anything?

in a 16oz cup it will dry out fast, but you want to be careful not to overwater. before the seed actually sprouts you only want to spray or mist the top layer of the soil till its moist. you dont want to saturate it. you can spray in the am then again at night. in this stage as in most of its life less is better than more. as soon as you see the seedling you want to get a cfl in there to give it the spectrum it craves 65k the larger it gets the more lights you want to add. keeping in mind to keep the cfl as close as poss to the seedling without burning it. goodluck

Hey hempy,

They sell socket to plug adapters at hardware stores and Y adapters. Those will work fine and will allowyl you to maneuver them. Looks kind of tacky though.

Also another tip for watering is feel the pot with dry soil, then water it. When it feels as light as it did when it was dry that's a good time to water. Real easy with party cups and light pots

Good luck!
