GARDEN TIME!!!!

Finally had the time and energy (and weather here in SW Mich) to get stuff in the garden Sunday. After much planning, I decided to double the size this year but still keeping it on the "smaller" spectrum. After spraying, tilling, fertilizing, tilling, tilling, tilling, amending with compost & organics (from the chickens, ducks, and bunnies) and tilling more over the last week, we were ready to plant.

This weekend we were able to put in 160 Onion sets (80 Reds & 80 Sweets), carrots, snap peas, and green beans. The big project were the 40ft potato trenches. Put in 40ft each of Reds, Kennebec, and Russets; hope to harvest between 600 - 1000lbs of taters.

Still a bit early for the tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, zucchini, etc. but it's a start.

ENJOY!!!

Omg and I get home to find a gift from my parents. It's a bee house for Mason and Leafcutter bees. You hang it near your garden to increase pollination.

Damn im excited now!!
