heyy everyone i have my plants in my basement and theres a gas furnace in the same room as my plants, iv always thought it wus somewhat beneficial becasue it releases co2 when it bruns the gas and its constantly pulling air into the rest of the house, so basically permanant ventalation. but a couple people told me recently that the furnace releases so many different things into the air thats its probly choking my plants. whats everyone thoughts on this? any body else have a gas furnace close to ur plants? thanks for any opinions =) peace out

Its not doing shit, You have a flue on that thing and all the CO2 and other pollutants are going up the flue to the outside world. If your furnace vented into the living space you would probably not be alive due to asphyxiation.

If your furnace vent is working properly, you should have no escaping combustion gasses coming into your house. As you said, it sucks air through the house and out the vent, either by fan, convection or both.
If it wasn't working properly, you would probably be poisoned by CO ( carbon monoxide ) by now.
