Hello I am fairly new to the indoor side of growing and am growing on a budget, currently have one in a closet with reflective panels on back 2 corners along with a full spectrum light, humidifier and 6 inch fan.Plant is 2 weeks old and strong, growing in a 3 gallon fabric pot in a mix of miracle grow and homemixed soil.Temp stays pretty consistent at 81,added the humidifier today as it was relatively low before at 37-40%,I have some slight yellowing on the cotyledons as well as first set of true leaves,I water 2 cups of ph balanced water every 2 days, light is around 12 inches from top of plant on a 18/6 schedule, what am I doing wrong? Other then the yellowing plant looks great, was a leggy start but was nursed out of it and is healthy otherwise. Any advice or tips are greatly appreciated as well as criticism lol thank you in advance. ☺️

Welcome :-) Provide the best environment you possibly can, and try to keep the plants healthy. If you’re monitoring your environmental parameters, you’re halfway there. Keep the ship steady, and sail on. Keep reading and researching in your free time. A lot of problems can have symptoms that look the same, but can arise from different causes. If you take good notes and keep track of what you’re doing, you’ll actually be able to figure out a lot of your mistakes on your own. It also helps to check out some grow journals, where more experienced users are growing in the same style you are.

Thank you so much, I spend a good amount of time keeping a log of everything as well as reading.Finding this site was a tremendous relief ‍ most don't offer any real help or useful advice lol
dont try to do too much at one time or love a plant to death like so many new growers do is my first piece of advice also as @missingthe90'sstrains said yellowing can mean a few things like your giving em too much water or the soils too hot for seedlings (too much nutrition for that stage)or it could mean it's just hungry or alternatively it could just be a plant that started a bit funny then sorted it self out cos you do get em now and then especially with older seeds Ime anyway my second piece of advice is never become complacent learn all you can and be humble about it cos it don't matter if you been growing six months or sixty years you can always learn something new also with nutes less is more more feed doesn't equal more bud it isn't that simple. good luck enjoy yourself and here's always there if ye get stuck

As a newb I found that closets were difficult to dial in the environment. Have you considered a 2X4 (about the size of many closets)? I think you will be able to dial your variables like humidity and airflow way better with a fan and controller. Not to mention escaping smell you’re going to be dealing with one 3 gallon mature girl! You seem on track, yellowing will cease when VERY small amounts of nutrients are introduced between plain waterings.
