Genetics are everything

I just finished hanging the first plant I ever grew to completion up to dry.:eyesmoke:
It is just bagseed, kind of a trial run to get my feet wet. I do have some Greenhouse seeds Super Lemon Haze, about 8 weeks behind this plant.
For anyone considering growing, I have some advice because I regret not following it. If you are planning on being the consumer of the smoke you grow, do yourself a huge favor and get some seeds or clones from a reputable source!
Here are two pics, one of a bagseed plant just about finished, and a Super Lemon Haze just a couple weeks in flower. The choice is clear, the answer is obvious...spend the money and time on ordering seeds! Anything less is just practice!

I just see 2 really imature plants.

If you harvested the NEARLY READY bagseed at that point you didnt let it finish.

I will definately agree however that GENETICS ARE EVERYTHING.

DNA strains rock for the price! I can personally recommend DNA GENETICS SHARKSBREATH and DNA GENETICS SOUR CREAM. If you can wait 11weeks for flowering it is well worth it.

Having been on both sides just like yourself using some IFFY genetics from good bags of weed ive had over the years then making the switch to buying from reputable breeders.

Attitude as everyone knows has great FREEBIE deals.

For instance i bought
5x DINAFEM POWER KUSH
1x GREENHOUSE SEEDS MOBY DICK
and got the following free
5x DINAFEM CRITICAL+
1x DINAFEM BLUE HASH
1x DINAFEM SWEET DEEP GRAPEFRUIT

"Just about finished" in this case means it has been under 12/12 for about 65 days. The SLH, as I said, just got moved under 12/12 about 2 weeks ago. The biggest difference is the sheer number of visible trichomes, but the SLH is also producing more thumb sized nuggets at this point than I saw on either bagseed plant I grew out.
That's actually the most amazing part, because that plant is the one I had with pretty bad stem damage as a seedling. I took a dozen or more clones, and stuck the skeletal remaining 3 nodes under the hps to see if it recovered.
Its done that and more.
So yeah, back to the main point. Compare the two similar sized buds, and regardless of how long till maturity, which would you rather be spending your time and money taking care of?

ya dude im sorry to say it jimmernmi. but that bag seed.. looks like a decent strain.. just looks like u dont have a 60-100 x microscope to check on ur trichs.. honestly looks like u had atleast another 3 weeks on that sorry but .. ive done it with bagseed too. pulled around 8 weeks not realizing that it was probably a 11-14 week strain.. lol hard to tell but trichs will tell all.. plus if u pulled that plant down another way u can tell if its toooo early.. is wen it drys up the buds will shrink like rediculously.. the cola will drop down to a tiny little nug.. lol and then u know.. it wasnt done.. they put on weight the last couple weeks .. and it sucks but thats y bag seed is not good idea for beginers.. at all. cause ull pull it early.. or not check i t out enough and it hermies and fucks ur whole room.; tons of crap happens with em... currently.. planted 30 seeds found in grand daddy purps weed.. and only 2 of 14 were females .. the other 12.. were female at first. then hermied.. sucks

Uhh...that particular bagseed is still going at nearly 70days now. The plant I referred to taking down is not the one pictured. That plant was scoped, and yes, the trichs were wearing amber hats.
