Germinated seeds help

So, I germinated my seeds using the paper towel method using rain water and did it on a heating pad.
In 2 days the tap root was very long and one had what appeared to be leaves growing on the end. My understanding is that the seeds get planted with the root end down but if it has leaves starting should it be planted so that the leaves are at the top of the soil?

PLZ help. thanks and +rep for answers from experienced growers

the seed grows upward out of the soil it pushes it out by the little taproot at the bottom u need to wait for the seeds to just barely crack and then just plant them and let nature go

I like to plant the seed in the soil just when the tap root pops out....i wouldn't wait so long to transplant into the medium.

I did not expect that in just under 2 days the root would have gone that wild.
However, thanks for your helpful posts.:-P
