My first time around with Coco Coir and unfortunatly I bought the type with those little plastic particles that absorb water . I read on this website that Cannabis does not like mediums that take forever to dry out .
Right now I am grow Wildflowers and I used a lot of seeds per unit area .
From the start of growing Wildflowers I have had problems with the roots not developing the small hairs that stick out sideways from the Tap Root .
I finally figured out that I should try high velocity wind from my larged fan . The experiment expects the high speed wind to thicken the stalks , prevent fugi on surface , and most of all I am making conditions to force the Coco Coir to dry out faster and in so doing with high speed air ( top speed on my big fan ) , that the air going over the leaves will cause the roots to develop thicker and has side fine hairs sticking out of the tap root . I am trying force the plant to develop good roots by forcing the Coco Coir to dry out faster hopefully partially due to rapid air flowing over the leaves of the Wildflower .
Wildflowers for the most part have small seeds and so far that means they have small tap roots and fast evaporation of the Coco Coir should cause the roots to have thicker Tap Roots and side roots sticking out the sides of the Tap Root , hopefully to form a network of roots like a fractal .
