Giant flying squid- i need to grow my own!

Morning!

I've been up since 7am, after dreaming about giant flying squid attacking the UK, i woke up intent on growing my own batch of skunk. I've never grown indoors before, i've only ever tried the complete nat-ur-al method outdoors.

I'm very impressed with how hardcore some of u r in your knowledge. I've been trolling through past discussions for a couple of hours, but can't find some answers to my questions. The way i see it i have 3 options.

1) If i want to make my own grow unit (i'm thinking out of an old filing cabinet or something) what are the essential design elements that it needs, in very simplistic terms?

2) To make my life easier is it worth just buying a complete unit, something like this??

3) Is it possible to just have a couple of plants in my living room through the winter(it's sunny am and always warm) with the aid of a couple of lights to help things along?? Will this produce results? Do i need to add any reflective stuff?

get a old closet and a 250 hps that will do for 4 plants,from start to finish.they is ways how to do in the f.a.q.section. but all you need is a closet and a lite and fan.either grow outside or under lites, one or other.where are you from."sunny in winter"

So don't u need to use Mh bulbs for flowering?? If you're growing the plants indoors do u need to keep them in a confined space rather than just under lights in a normal room? When i said sunny in winter i didn't really mean sunny i meant v.light and warm.

no u can do it all the way if you want with a 250hps. but i use a 250hps blue spec for vegg and a red 400hps for 12/12 or even both when the plants get big. but you cud do it with just a 250hps even just flos is you have a lot. but the more lite the better as long as they dont burn your plants. its personal choice more lite the better less lite .you get my drift. if you can keep them in the same place if you can .try to keep them to a routine like they would do outside,there just a weed,try to mimic outside wind/fan spray/watering/rain ferts/food and venterlation/? when you start moving them around and not keeping to 18/6 then 12/12, they get mixed up and can turn hermie.and you dont want that.
