Glass-like oil?

So I'm pretty new with making my own concentrates. I've been making some insanely good oil with iso and bud, using the boiling process. My first batch turned out glass-like, almost like shatter. My second batch didn't quite get that hard and it is moldable. Can someone explain this? They both turned out great, I'm actually rather impressed with myself, but I'm curious to know why one batch turned glass-like and the other one didn't?

Could be an array of factors really. Purging temperature, ho dry and old material is and how well it was stored, or it sould be sappyfom all the terpenes, which i only get when blasting fresh frozen really. And purge that shit in vacuum man its full of bubbles.

Heck man purging even changes from strain to strain, i had some oil purging at 33C and it wasnt letting butane out, had to slowly raise it to 35 and eventually 37, been for 2 days at full vacuum and that side of the patty is still not bubble free, maybe another day and ill flip a few more days on that side and should be good. Ive never purged shatter higher than 35C but this one is just too hard to let gas out.

A variety of factors such as age, moisture temperature and process could play a part. Have you purged it? it looks full of bubbles.

Nahh I haven't purged it. I made it with iso, not butane. I'm too scared to use butane lol. What's the purging process? I did notice it was bubbling at the end of the boiling process.
