Gods Gift under 400w HPS, leaves not spreading apart...whats up?

Here is some pictures of my gods gift indica plant. I have two of these in my grow room under a 400w HPS. The temp in the rooms is normally around 81 degrees because its summer. I am using the fox farm nutrients and feeding schedule. These plants are 1 week into flowering. I am just trying to figure out why the leaves are not spreading apart all the way. Here is some pics. did you take the clones from a mother in flower?

The clones came from a local dispensary. They did have signs of being in flower when I got them. However I had them under 18/6 CFL lights for 4 weeks and just a week ago switch to 12/12 under the HPS. I mean they look healthy right? Just can't figure out the weird leaf structure.

If they are from satan I will keep them around. Helpful comments or advice anyone? Should I just not worry about it?

Looks like your growing a nice dense plant. There are things you can get from the head shop that will force it to stretch a bit. You may want to grab some of it if you want it less bushy. You may have issues with light penetration with that close leaves. Not sure what it's called, I think its called Shooting Powder? Someone else may have to chime in here.

The plant looks good though. I would be happy if it was in my cabinet.

Clone the fuck outta that shit, find a mutant male that has a similar trait and breed the hell outta everything. Find a place that grows on scale and turn that puppy into 100 pregnant muntant baby clones.

Organize your clones into 4 catagories based on leaf structure, and organize within those groups into desirable traits when in flower.

Harvest seed and repeat, by the 4th generation your going to see more of those funky looking leaves show up on more plants, by the 8th generation your going to see almost no serrated pot fan leaves.

Keep impregnating messed up plants and selecting the strongest, most buds, and build a new species through selective breeding, genetic manipulation and environmental control.

You could make the plant like hot climates or cold, have a lot of bud naturally or regular amounts.

I love seeing plants with extreme mutations and I'd love to be able to create a xenophile in the cannabis genus

Thanks for the help guys. Being that its my first time growing I was concerned that something was wrong with it. I am going to take a few clones and see what happens there. The plant is extremely dense so I got rid of some of the foliage in the middle of the plant to get some more light in there. The thing is already smelling amazing and my fingers stick together whenever I am handling it and when I was clearing out the middle. 7 weeks to go in flower, im excited to see the results.

Looks like your humidity might be low, or your light too close, or a combination of the 2. Of course I could be wrong too. Good luck man!

Humidity is right around %40 and the 400w HPS is about 12-14 inches from the top of the canopy. Is that to much?

that sounds just right,if you give it the hand test you might even be able to lower them more.either way if the lights are too close the plants will tell you with drooping stature,upward curling etc.theres tons of of places to read up on symptoms of heat/humidity stress.

theres nothing wrong with your plant its just trying to reveg. it was cloned in flower. u say its one week into flower but it has buds still from when it was flowering before they actually look quite ready. it will start flowering again now that you have put it to 12/12 and everything will come good. google revegging marijuana or something like that and you will see thats just what they look like. the dispensary shouldnt have sold you a clone like that really
