Going on a trip soon HELP

Got some photos goin about 3 weeks old and looking healthy... I want to clone to determine while keeping the motherplant alive.... They have some lower branches coming off that are shaded out, can I use them to determine sex even when they're only 3 inches tall with 3 or so nodees... Not worried about getting em rooted I just wanna get the potential males out before I leave in 8 weeks
 
I seriously doubt they are showing sex yet at 3" tall. You'll have plenty of time to sex them.

Sorry... plants haven't shown sex yet they're maybe 9 nodes tall about 7" maybe? LST so it's hard to tell and some lower branches that are shaded are maybe 3" is what I was saying, I just wanna take thelower branches and sex without rooting if possible

I’m totally confused. Take the lower branches? Sex without rooting? Not going to happen.
