Got a question for the pros using Fox Farms

Hey all. New grower here. I got a question. Im doing a perpetual grow. Every 2 weeks a plant goes in flower and one comes out. The problem is nutrients. Using Fox Farms. With these nutes , you mix them differently for each stage. In the flowering stage there are 3 diferent mixes 1) pre-flower 2)flower 3)pre-harvest. The question is: How long can I keep each mixture of nutes? I mix a gallon at a time using half the nutrients recomended, but the plants in this stage dont use a gallon per watering. Nutes are expensive, and throwing out mixture is a waste. So Im wondering, How long I can keep the mixture without it going bad or worse....(becoming toxic to my plants). i'd say probably only about a week or so honestly as they can get funky quick ime...

but here's an idea.. why don't you simply cut the recipe in half and only mix up say half a gallon instead of the whole gallon ??? if say it calls for 2 tsp per gallon, simply add one per half, or what have you..
this way you won't have to worry about having jugs of premixed nutes sitting around all over and worrying about them going bad or w/e.. :)

Yeah that's a great idea. I sometimes still use foxfarm and have there whole lineup. I have had my nutes sitting for about a week. So you don't need to throw them out if you don't use them all that same day. It is safe
to keep whatever is remaining around for a week or so.

Mixing smaller batches is harder because I cut it in half already...1/4 teaspoon of chi ching......I use 1/8th teaspoon per gallon...to cut that in half would be 1/16th teaspoon....I don't have a 1/16th teaspoon and I dont trust eye-balling....lol. If they stay good for a week...I'll be alright....thanks for the help

I would also make sure you have them in a light proof container. Just my .02

I dont have any light proof watering jugs, I use regular 1 gal. bottles, but Im sure keeping them in the dark would be just as efficent....thanx

Yeah A Light Proof Container would be ideal. If you don't have a light proof container don't stress it to much. Just try to keep it away from the light.

Since its been a year since I was last unable to grow I can't tell you if that's what I used or not. But I know I never start at full strength. I dilute it more then what's required them slowly work my way up as my
plant needs more feeding. Your plants will tell you what they need, you just need to learn how to read there signs. But that comes with practice.

Oh and I got some exciting news. Today I just required the rights to use Urban Growers video's for my blog. I already got the rights to use Green House Seeds video's so I am on to a great start. I really can't wait
until my blog is well known. I am disabled, (was even before I got hit by that car, but that made it worse) So any extra income I can make is a huge plus. Right now my blog is ad free because its pointless monetizing it now. I don't get enough traffic. I get traffic just not enough. Once my blog is a little more well known and have dedicated readers then I will start to monetize it.

dam bruh, sorry to hear that, i am disabled as well. same here, car accident (amongst other things). nevertheless, each time i see that huge bud on the side i read your replys and you always seem to try and help cats out... das good shit, keep up the growing hommie! one.

I use a syringe. the one i have goes to 1mL. so you can mix nutes as low as you want. I regularly mix up just a 1L bottle. something like bud candy is say 2mL per gallon. 3.78L/gallon, roughly 1/2 a mL per Liter works for me. I also use a 5mL medicine dropper for mixing a gallon at a time.

Thanks man. Yeah I always try to help out. I was disabled even before the car accident but that made it worse. I can walk and everything just cant do certain things for very long. I actually am just getting back to growing. Haven't been for a year since the accident but I got some seeds germinating now. Can't wait!

That was you? Thank so much. It gave me crazy amount of traffic. Never knew what stumble was before until I seen about 60 people visited my blog and the referring website was stumble. What you mean you got a discovery out of it?

Glad to help. A discovery is when you clik I like it with stumble. millions of people use stumble, its the ultimate for when the internet bores the shit out of you....it just bounces you to a random site within your interests i guess. more tracking software hahahah

Ahh I see. So how did you get my blog on it?

Now will it randomly bring people to my blog? Because that day you did it I got a lot of visitors. So when I clicked on the link that all the visitors were coming from it said your blog as been stumbled. So I thought that my blog was like listed on a main page of something because I was getting so much traffic.

I just hope it keeps bringing me traffic. It brought me some yesterday. Don't think it got me any today though. Wish I would have gotten some Facebook likes though. Got 1 so far. But my blog is only a little over a month old. Its doing good for its age though. Can't wait until I get more keyword traffic. I have had a few but not enough.
