grow box size

hey whats up my fellow stoners! i got 2 simple questions now that the search bar cant help me. is a 4x4x4 grow box a decent size to grow some good dank? and also what hid light should i install considering the height of the box? any replies would be appreciated...

what is that feet, meters, inches, golf balls?

figure 12 inches for the light, 8 inches for a pot, maybe another 6 inches for light to plant distance, so thats what lil over 2 feet, leaving you with 2 feet of plant. if its meters, then ull be better off, but 2 ft, for a plant... thats up to you.

hey whats up dude! its 4ft x 4ft x 4ft. i hope i dont have to take the top off and add another 12 1/2 inches?

well u need 6foot min in hight and 4x4 is ok for 4plants and veg them till 6inces and then they will grow to 24inces may b more and the pot is about a foot and u need the light 18inces away from the plants at all timesand u should keep the light a foot away from the roofif u add it all up u need about 6foot i got a few pic on my profile have a look mate

4'x4'x4' is HUGE when i comes to grow boxes. My Mother PC is about 6"x12"x16".

I would use either a 600w, (2) 400w, or a 1000w HPS in there.

I have to agree.

Mine is 18"x26", holds 2 plants.

7 ft tall though.

Some shit to consider:

1. for every one foot of plant height, you should have about 2 gal of soil.
2. when flowering, plants will grow 2-3x their height at the end of veg

so, you decide how tall you should make them and how many plants you wanna grow.

im gonna take off the top and add another 2 ft. . im looking to keep a constant grow through out the year on a small yield basis but real dank bud. safety is my concern and its #1 to me. man 600w sounds great but i would only do the 600w if i raise the top to 6ft. plus i only want to have 4 maybe 6 plants at one time flowering in this box. i was thinking maybe 250w hps? i know i know the more lumens the better but just thinking safety in a 4ft x 4ft x 4ft box. i also want to say that i was planning to vent with 4" in line fan and duct to windows in the rear of the house. if i add these 2 more ft i might go with the 6" in line and with the 400w hps/mh and see how that works out what ya think.
