grow cabinet setup question?

alright, im going to be building a semi stealth grow cabinet, the dimensions are 3ft high, 22in width, 42in length.

im planning on using a cooltube 400watt hps/mh, cooled sufficiently, and using a scrog grow. im going to be doing barneys critical kush, and im just wondering how many plants should i put into my cab, how big should my pots be, and how tall should i veg them for? thanks guys

since you are doing a scrog grow technically you could use 1 plant and veg it for a very long time.
it all depends on how long you have to veg it for
you could do 4 no problem but then again you could do 6 or 8
have you grown any full plants before?

i need some advice, if im doing a grow cab, with the dimensions in the post above, how tall should i let my plants grow? i want to grow like 6-8 plants, idk if i want to do hydro or not yet, i know 3 feet is not a lot of headroom, especially with a 400 watt light, but im hoping the cool
tube, and high cfm fan will help me get my plants close to my light. if you guys had a space that was 3ft high, 22in wide, and 42in long, how would you set it up? cool tubed 400 watt? or a regular 250 watt without a cool tube? hydro? obviously a scrog is a must for yield. i really want to grow 10 ounces in the dimensions i listed, so any help would be appreciated.

10 ounces is a pretty big goal, lets see if we can get you there, if you're using a space that size, you can really increase yield over time by making a tiny little clone chamber on the side
Not having to start from seed again will really speed up your turn around, 3ft isnt alot of headroom? it may not be what most people are used to but if you can flower in a pc case, 3ft is a blessing =) you dont need to use a HPS either, you can get 130w cfl grow lights off ebay for like $35 use a couple of those and your heat should come down quite a bit and allow you to flower higher, and there are hydro alternatives, like growing in coco and hand watering with hydro nutes
I plan on doing the same sort of set up soon if i move out, heres a little working sketch and the materials needed

The dimensions are pretty much the same as yours too, Mine will be set up as a perpetual grow, 3 x 2 plants in staggered flowering 3 weeks apart, so when i harvest 2 plants i put in clones vegged for 3 weeks, then 3 weeks later another 2 plants are ready etc etc, a tiny little clone room for 3 plants, 1 mother, and 2 clones vegging, a reservoir below the flowering chamber for a recirculating auto feed system, just pumps water to each pot, soaks medium and excess drains to res.
also small space for fan/filter combo, and space bottom right is a drying room idea ha, passive intake to bud drying room, passive intake to veg/clone room, to flower room then out the filter, just my 2c at a good fully enclosed micro system, im planning on putting it in a chest of drawers 100cm x 40cm x 80cm you can basically have cfls on you plants so if you put a screen 3/5 between top of pot and light you will have enough room to scrog pretty well, flowering 12/12 straight from 3 week clones and only giving them about an 8.5" x 8.5" area to flower they fill that screen easy, chop anything below that and let it concentrate on making cola's. pretty simple way to set up a super effective stealth system for under $500

one thing you could try is a stadium or semi circle grow. instead of growing on a flat plane you can curve it to give maximum area. essentially it will look like a half cylinder laid on its side (concave) like a big U or V. this will give you a little extra room. instead of being 2x4 it will be 3x4 or 3.5x4 depending on exact numbers. orange construction fencing is amazing, chicken wire, whatever you can get your hands on really. look up rotary gardens, stadium gardens. these might give you some more ideas that will be better suited to your grow.
