Grow.. dresser?

Hey all, this is my first post here, also first grow, and therefore also my first "grow setup", so bear with me.

I have started converting a spare dresser into a little marijuana factory, because, the trashcan I was growing in before is getting cramped and looks pathetic. (It was a rubbermaid can, lined with tin foil with a 50w hps & 23w CFL screwed to the lid). Besides the trashcan also got kinda toasty.

The plan for the dresser: A completely contained, fully automated grow room (just big enough for 3/4 3.5' plants). It will have lighting and watering/feeding automated, and will have a duct exhaust out the back (which I can discretely pipe out the window).

As it stands now, I have emptied out the drawers and made a false drawer appearance by screwing the front panels from all the drawers onto a board and hanging infront of the dresser where drawers would be. Inside I wired two outlets (with a main powerswitch discretely out the back so I can switch it off without opening it), the second outlet is on another switch so I can turn off lights and fans when I'm in there tending. In the back I've also installed a duct for the exhaust. I started the irrigation by putting a pump on a valved-line in a rubbermaid container for fertilizer. I also started the lighting rack by wiring a 100w MH and a 70w HPS to the top.

Next: I will install the ceiling exhaust fan into the back and connect it to the exhaust port. I will also wire 2 50w hps, and 4 23w cfls. I will adjust the lighting shelf to proper height, line the cabinet with tin foil, adjust the "drawer" height, and generally get my babys new cradle ready. Stay tuned

Great job so far man. Considering changing my closet setup to a more enclosed cabinet-ish setup. Im interested to see how your grow goes. Good luck!

Just one tip, yaybe try using flat white paint instead of tin foil? Or mylar if you can get your hands on some. The tin foil can have some nasty effects on your babies.

Looks good...agree with the tin foil, get rid of it and paint it FLAT white. I had a somilar grow box but my plants went hermie because of light leaking in

Well, good news about the tinfoil, haven't done it yet.. but thats odd, I mean it was growing fine when practically surrounded by the stuff.. but I'll take your word (I don't have a crop to show for aluminum foil lol)

Also, I never heard of plants going hermie because of extra light.. how does that work?

Added: 4 23w CFLs, Fan, Duct, Timers, and.. maybe thats it.. I got pretty blazed before checking this.

Also, I find it funny how easy you can tell which light is MH/HPS based on the light on the back of the dresser

On a side note, velociraptor (as I accidentally named her) seems to be growing anxiously, still a little stressed from getting too cozy with my hps in the last configuration, she's starting to relax her leaves from the canoed shape from the heat. Otherwise all's going well, I give her 18 hrs of light daily, 10 with just 70w hps, 100w mh, 8 with the hids and ~100w cfl. The only reason I don't run all of this all day is because the dresser can't quite dissipate the heat. It stays around 78 with the hid's on and bumps up to 82 (I know this is a touch warm) with the cfl's cooking for 4 hours. Thats why I can only give it cfl in the first and last 4 hrs of the light cycle. also for an approx. 24sq ft. grow area, does a 50cfm fan seem adequate for exhaust needs?
